Spidey in Gotham brainrot is bad rn, and the whole Richard Grayson = Richard Parker thing??? Can't take it. I just can't. Imagine Peter busking in gotham by doing acrobatics or juggling (spider senses come real handy in catching stuff, imagine how damn good at juggling he would be with like a little bit of practice??) bc he's broke as hell and he doesn't have to keep up with his nerd persona at school or anything, so why not? And just Dick?? Seeing this street performer kid??? Who looks just like him????? A tiny lost little Grayson????? But no you get it!!! I'm completely absorbed in the Richard Parker is Dick Grayson brainrot,,, it's so good. I love street performer Peter just as much as him being in the circus!! He would decimate people in break dancing and magic tricks using his stickiness!! Peter could totally wow audiences by juggling stuff like knives too!

I love torturing Dick with parallels just as I do with much Peter. Dick, seeing a homeless, witty orphan moving with the grace of an acrobat and wanting to take him home and feed him,,, only to find out, holy shit, the sassy kid who juggles knives is actually his??? If he wasn't already a mother hen before, paternal instincts have intensified it by 200%.

Hello! I’m a bit of a lurker, but I had a question for a friend and I’m not sure if you’re able to answer, but you were the first to come to mind.

As someone who is not too familiar with the DC comics, what would be issues, volumes, etc. to read for a newbie wanting to delve into and highlight Dick & Damian’s relationship? My friend knows about their general stories (ie been watching the DCAMU and DCAU) but want to read more from their comic sources.

I’ve not been able to help them, but if you know of good recommendations (since I know you’re invested in Dick Grayson’s story very well) or can point me to others who’d be able to help, I’d appreciate it!

(I know comics are very convoluted with timelines and reboots and writers, but any recs would be great! Thanks and have a great day/night!)

Sorry this took me forever, but I've finally gathered the majority of Dick and Damian content. Please note that some stuff listed may be entire stories involving Dick and Damian, some may just have a few scenes between them, and some may even just have one scene that I felt highlighted their relationship in some way. I'm the type of person who's a freak about every Dick and Damian interaction though, so even the smallest of things can feel important to me personally lmao.

There are ofc more Dick and Damian interactions than this, I just didn't add them because I either felt they weren't necessary to share or that some of the writing was too bleh.

Also, I did have a guide to help me catch the dickbats era moments, but everything after dickbats came directly from my brain, so there's certainly a possibility I missed something, but I did try my best to remember the most important interactions.

Anywho, hope this is somewhat helpful!

Grayson #12 is an absolute must, it has one of the most iconic Dick and Damian interactions of all time. Will need to read the comics Forever Evil, Nightwing (Vol. 3) #30, and previous Grayson issues to understand the full context of the issue. Can just visit the issue for the Dick and Damian scene though obviously.

Rebirth and Beyond Era

Rebirth Nightwing #1 (note: this is a completely different comic from Nightwing (Vol. 4) #1-33, which is referred to as the Rebirth era of Nightwing). If you want to understand further context about this comic, you’ll have to read We Are Robin and the Robin War crossover event.

Nightwing (Vol. 4) #1, #4, #16-20 (very important Dick and Damian arc where Dick admits he wanted to adopt Damian), #29 (for context you’ll have to read the rest of Dark Nights Metal), #42-43 (each issue is a one-shot), Annual #2 (there’s enough info in this story to not need previous context), #110 (for context read the Beast World crossover event), #113 (they interact briefly, but I’m more so adding this because it shows Damian supporting Dick), #114.

Batman (Vol. 3) #16 (because Dick buys Damian a kid’s meal), #33-35

Detective Comics #1000 (collection of one-shots… go down to the story called “Batman’s Greatest Case” by Tom King. I suggest only looking at the very first Dick and Damian interaction from this story… the rest of the dialogue is… bad)

So I have this hc that Damian is the one to get baby fever and so he's the one making Jon pretty much have sex with him constantly until he's pregnant but after that Jon just wants to keep having more.

I also hc Jon to have a higher sex drive. Getting Damian pregnant makes him go a little feral and primal.

Damian also is either easily fertile or not so everyone is surprised when he gets pregnant from Jon on the first try and of course everyone blames Jon.

LOL Damian gets pregnant for a fourth time and everyone at this point is just assuming that Jon has some type of breading kink.

Omg and he probably does and trust me Jon is just as ashamed of himself for having it but there's just something about a pregnant Damian that just makes him go a little nuts 😔

Oh but he loves knowing that he's the one that got the one Damian Wayne pregnant it's also his way of telling the world that Damian is his and his alone cus getting married wasn't enough apparently (thanks sparrows for the marriage one on that lol)

And I love the thought of Damian being absolutely nonchalant about Jon's worshiping of him. Like this is an everyday occurrence he's used to it.

Jon would rearrange the stars in the sky and Damian didn't even ask and Damian's smiling and is just "thank you beloved it's beautiful but you still have to do the dishes" and kisses him.

Oh I love this question!

I think Bruce would be incredibly happy to see baby photos of Damian, but he would also be stricken with sadness to be faced with another reminder that he missed a large portion of his son's life. Yes his other children are adopted and he missed portions of their lifes too, but for those years he wasn't their father yet and yes he wishes he could have loved them through it all but they weren't his to have yet, while Damian was always his, always should have been his, but he was deprived of that, deprived of loving him through all of it and protecting him from everything. He sees these baby photos as a look into a missing part of his life, a look into lost time. And when he cards through them, and his eyes land on a freshly revived Jason cradling a chubby baby Damian, his heart melts. His babies, his two lost sons, the part he missed captured in one frame. And he cries, how can he not? His two little boys. The picture ends up framed, a subtle frame, nothing to distract from the photo, and he places it on his nightstand. Needless to say, he makes plenty of copies of the photo.

His siblings react as siblings do, mock Damian profously. Though Dick keeps a copy of one of the photos in his wallet, and copies of multiple are places around his home, and of course he shows them off to all his colleagues, classic "Oh and look here, oh and this is him at 10 months! And here he is with his first sword!" Being repeated a billion times. Tim on the other hand, uses the photos for blackmail and endless teasing, happily joining Dick when they whip out the photos to show to Jon (who thinks they are adorable. Damian is mortified)

Stephanie and Barbara each make copies of different photos to carry around. Duke keeps a copy of one of the photos for good luck, keeping it in a hidden compartment during patrols. Cass as well keeps a photo on her anytime she has a dance show.

Jason's memory of that time is incredibly foggy, so seeing the picture of him holding Damian is like seeing someone he's never known. He mocks Damian for his dumb little baby face and snickers when Bruce gets all emotional about the photos, but no one bats an eye when he slips away a copy of his photo with Damian.

Alfred makes copies to seamlessly add to the family photo book, and frames some to be hung in the halls.

Even the Clarks end up seeing one of the photos through a Wayne family holiday card

So my ADHD ass was doomscrolling on Tumblr and I saw this post titled 'Gordon x Grayson' and I have no idea why the first thing that came to my head was Dick Grayson with Gordon RAMSEY instead of BARBARA Gordon and I know while that sounds messed up I now need someone to write an imagine with the Batfam taking a Gordon Ramsey class.

So Batfam writers, that's your prompt - Batfam at Gordon Ramsey's cooking class / Batfam with Gordon Ramsey / Batfam at Gordon's restaurant - pick whichever you want. Any others on similar tones are welcome as well. But please repost this so that I can see all of them. Pleaseeeee

the batfam is affected by a truth serum and they can't avoid each other. There is no compulsion to talk but they do need to discuss how to get out of whatever plot shenanigans put them in that situation. They can't contol how much they say once they started talking tho. It's like they are listening to themselves and only after finishing the sentence do they understand what they just said. There is zero control. Who do you think has the biggest secrets of them all? (My guess is Bruce or Dick.) Who gets hurt the most and why and what are the consequences?

Dick definitely has the most secrets, but here’s the thing. I think everyone’s kinda hurt by him keeping these secrets at first, but then, they’re all better for it. The Batfam is just the biggest miscommunication trope, and actually communicating would probably fix them.

I also feel like Bruce would not be able to stop telling each of his kids how much he loves them with every single word that comes out of his mouth.

I also feel like Duke records the whole thing.
